I’m Lisa Powell and I am the surface pattern designer, motif maker and art licensing collaborator behind Linen and Paper Design and I am so glad you are here.
My Passion:
To create patterns that inspire others to take note of the beauty that surrounds them every day.
Where I started….
After years of working with textiles and patterns in the world of hospitality design, I decided it was time to embark on a dream that has always been close to my heart, pattern design. Although Texas-born, I have always been drawn to the interiors of the East Coast and the English country home where patterns seem to cover every surface that meets the eye. My belief has always been that you can never have too many patterns in a room if they all work in harmony with each other and their surroundings. Influenced by the fundamental design principles of classic design and my grandmother’s belief that beauty should be experienced every day, creating patterns and motifs for everything from notecards and wrapping paper to textiles, wallpaper, and decorative objects allows me to share what I call “little celebrations of life” and my grandmother’s passion for making life beautiful for all those who pass through our lives.
